Center for Dalit Women Nepal (CDWN) is a national level non-governmental Organization working for the political, social and economic empowerment of Dalits, women and marginalized groups in Nepal. It is actively engaged into minimizing all forms of discrimination and violence based on caste and gender. Since its inception, this organization has been undertaking the interventions to empower target groups and influence the state and non-state actors to hold accountable for the social, economic and political rights of Dalits, women and marginalized groups.

CDWN is going to implement one year pilot project entitled, ‘Political Empowerment of elected Dalit women representatives’ in four districts namely Nawalparasi, Rupandehi, Palpa and Arghakhanchi of State 5 in partnership with Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The objective of the project is ‘to achieve a sustainable mechanism to ensure meaningful participation and leadership of the EDWRs in democratic governance and more equality and equitability in public decision making. CDWN is looking for the professionals for the following posts:

1. Inclusive Governance and Capacity Development (IGCD) Expert (consultant)

Scope of work:

1. Identify capacity gap of local elected representative and training needs for the capacity building trainings and the other interventions;

2. Collect relevant information and document them for developing training modules;

3. Prepare outline/contents for the consolidated standard training modules for building capacity of elected Dalit women leaders in local levels;

4. Develop training modules in a consultative process;

5. Conduct orientation training for potential trainers on the finalized training modules;

6. Support to conduct trainings for elected local representatives focusing Dalits and women;

7. Initiate other continuous capacity building interventions for the local level governments and elected representatives;

8. Provide technical support to CDWN teams and Projects team in the area of federal structure and local governance

Required Qualification:

* Master’s degree in Social Science or relevant discipline;

* Minimum of five years of working experience in development field in Inclusive Governance including capacity building areas.

2. Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Expert (consultant)

Scope of work:

1. Identify critical areas for gender and social inclusion in relation to inclusive local governance;

2. Suggest strategies for mainstreaming gender and social inclusion in the local governance policies, system and the programming;

3. Advise all project staff on gender and social inclusion issues and policies;

4. Together with Inclusive Governance and Capacity Development Expert produce resource materials addressing the issues of gender and social inclusion in relation targeting EDWRs;

5. Facilitate dialogue, training on gender and social inclusion and local governance

6. Build capacity of EDWRs in relation to gender and social inclusion;

Required Qualification:

* Master’s degree in Social Science or relevant discipline;

* Minimum of five years experience in designing and implementing activities related to gender equality and social inclusion including capacity building areas.

3. Backstopping and Field Monitoring Officer

Scope of work:

* The Backstopping and Field Monitoring Officer will have a vital role in planning and implementing of the project activities.

* Systematically monitor, analyze, and evaluate the results of all activities in accomplishing project objectives, and assist program staff in reporting these results to the senior management, Board, donors, and general public;

* Utilize technical and analytical skills to provide technical assistance to project, and ensure that useful information and lessons learned are well documented;

* Take responsibility of event/process documentation properly and provide technical assistance in reporting program outputs and results to the Management, Board, and concerned stakeholders;

* Ability to engage with and support mentors, elected representatives and government officials.

* Undertake other activities as assigned by the management and the Board of the organization.

* Data analysis and data management.

Required Qualification:

* Bachelor degree Social Science and or relevant discipline.

* Two years of professional work experience in development organizations;

* Proficiency in speaking/writing in English and Nepali and good computer skills;
